Favourites Playlist - Autumn ‘25

Well hello there,

It has been a little while since i’ve done one of these, but they are baaaack babyyyy!

Okay so lets dive into this seasons playlist… I spent the majority of autumn living in the beautiful islands of Hawai’i (so technically their spring but whatever) and the back end of the season back on the Gold Coast of Australia.

A lot of the songs in this playlist I correlate with special memories and people from being in Hawai’i,

The song “Orange Blossom” by GoldFord, a song i’m sure many of you know, this song takes me back to when I rented a moped and rode up the east coast of Oahu from Waikiki to The North Shore, cruising past the most beautiful beaches and land scapes, wind in my hair, massive smile on my face and not a care in the world, sounds cringe but honestly one of my fav moments from living in Hawai’i.

I met and befreinded a lot of Spanish speaking people when I was away, there was a time where I was only hanging out with people from Argentina which pretty much forced me into learning Spanish… a few months later and here I am still learning the language, determined to become fluent by the time I travel there (hopefully soon). Anyway my friends listened to Spanish music and I ended up taking a liking to it, it’s also really helped me to learn the language. Lots of Bad Bunny, some of my favourites being “Callaita”, “La MuDANZA” and of course “DtMF” basic but a banger. BUT my all time favourite Spanish song one of my good friends showed me was “Jurabas Tu” by Los Del Fuego, a very catchy heart wrenching love song or I guess heartbreak song, I don’t know what it is about this song but I FKING LOVE it ahaha, and have the best memories driving around Maui with my friend singing this song. La concha de tu madre, extraño mucho hawái!!!

I also went back to my Aotearoa roots with some kiwi classics, lots of SIX60, including “Mothers eyes” this song is always a tear jerker for me, “Kia Mau ki To Ūkaipo” the Te Reo Moari version of their classic “Don’t Forget Your Roots”. “Better Be Home Soon” by Crowded House, another classic that I fell back in love with. and “Smooth Lady Wine” by Matt Corby, I actually only recently discovered this after a friend showed me, I instantly loved it and has become a part of my daily musical rotation.

Alright, moving on to some old, all time fav classics. “Ventura Highway” always has been always will be a favourite of mine, I bloody love it, “Kinky Love” by Pale Saints, a groovy tune that makes me want to slow dance in the living room. “Moving Out (Anthony’s Song)” by Billy Joel, classic up beat, foot tapping, head bopping fav.

Okayyy so we got a lil bit of new music from some of my favourites recently too… Olivia Dean juuuust released “Nice To Each Other” anything she makes, I love. That simple. She’s too good. and my king Loyle Carner has slowly been dropping some tunes from his upcoming album “hopefully !” including “about time” in my mind'“ “lyin” and “all I need”, which are all bangers, again anything he does, I love. Fontaines D.C. released the deluxe edition of their album “Romance” with a couple new tunes, a personal fav is “Its amazing to be young” , so true it is AMAZING to be young.

And last but DEFINITELY not least, a song that was played by a friend and my ears instantly pricked up and asked what the song is called. “Jones” by Low Pony, my god I haven’t found a new song that I love this much in a loooong time. I think it’s a combination of the incredible vocals, the introspective and yearning lyrics, and the melancholic tune, I just freaking love this song so much. It makes me FEEL and I love music that can tap in beneath that surface level and touches you.

Shout outs to-

“Let ‘Em In” by Wings

“Just Come Home With Me Tonight'“ by Josef

“When It Lands'“ by Rainbow Kitten Surprise

“When You’re Gone” by The Cranberries

That’s enough blabbing from me, hope you enjoy these tunes as much as I do!

LOVE YOU x
